March 10th 11pm Darwen Library Darwen Stories of strong women and fiesty girls told in celebration of 100 years of votes for women and International women’s day. You can expect some singing, monsters to defeat and lots of fun!
March 17th Barrow Museum Chesterfield 12.30-2pm Out the window I can see… Join us for a magical adventure on a story train to meet giants, mermaids, trickster spiders, enchanted trees and greedy kings across the wilds of Britain and the world beyond… We will follow the storytelling with a giant postcard/ mask making craft workshop.
Magic Spells and Mysterious Plans…Join us this Easter to hear how to wake up an enormous snoring frog, how a magical bird outwitted a King, and how an old lady made some soup with a rusty old nail. After the storytelling, you will be creating peg puppets of your favourite characters with exciting materials:

Animal Wonder Tales Come and listen to some fun and interactive stories about magical and cheeky animals from all over the world including a dragon who needed a special outfit for the emperor’s party, a mango loving monkey and a little girl’s plan to trick a dangerous wolf. After the storytelling, you will be creating peg puppets of your favourite characters with exciting materials:

Wednesday 22nd February at 10.30-12.30 Tales by the Fireside at Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet Meet a shepherd who stumbles across some enchanted gold, an old lady who faces a terrifying monster in the Himalayan mountains and find out what happened when the Chinese emperor invited all the animals, including dragon and cockerel, to his party.
Tuesday 11th April at 10.30-11.15 at Crystal Peaks Library Stories for little ones Age 2+ Some favourite children’s folk tales from around the world such as Monkey see, Monkey do, The Three Billy Goats Gruff and The Gingerbread Man.
Thursday 20th April at 2pm Parson’s Cross Library at 2pm Noodle heads and Numbskulls Ages 5-11 Some of the silliest characters you could ever imagine meeting. For instance, there’s the King who decided to build a tower to the moon, the fisherman who got a sausage stuck to his nose and a girl who didn’t think twice about asking for the tail of a deadly forest creature.
